Horror! 32 Fun Seekers Stuck 14 Metres Above Ground On Power Tower Ride At Hull Fair

No fewer than 32 people are currently stuck 45 feet above ground on a power tower ride at Hull fair in Hull city, England.

Hull daily mail reports that the thrill-seekers have been stuck on the fairground ride for 90 minutes with desperate parents watching from below.

According to one of the anxious parents, Teresa Blackett, her two daughters were among those stranded.

Teresa who described the situation as ‘horrible’ disclosed that her daughters named Nicole and Laura are 14 and 20 respectively.

While describing the incident, Teresa stated: “It went up and then came back down but then it stopped.

“They are saying they are going to have to get the fire engines in to get people down because they can’t get people off.

“My kids are on it. It’s horrible. We are trying to find out some information but they are stuck up there for more than an hour now.

“It’s awful because they are just sitting there. I have no idea when they are going to come down.”

However, a Humberside Police spokesperson said: “The Power Tower at Hull Fair has broken down about a quarter of the way up, engineers are working on the ride and the riders are safe at this time”.

Meanwhile, Hull Fair is one of Europe’s largest traveling funfairs. Unlike small local fairs, Hull Fair attracts rides, attractions and travelers from a wide variety of different regions from around the country.

The fair is one of Hull’s biggest traditions, as well as one of its oldest, having reached its 700th anniversary in 1993.
