Lagos State Government Completes Construction Of Modern Bus-Stop In Ketu

The Lagos state government has completed the construction of a modern bus stop in Alapere, Ketu, Lagos state.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Lagos state Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Prince Anofiu Elegushi disclosed that the project was part of the visions of the state governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode to ensure that all Lagosians have access to a proper and efficient public transport system.

Elegushi added that the facility would go a long way in ensuring that transport activities are conducted in a safe and comfortable environment and as well, ensure free-flow of traffic in the state.

According to him, the bus stop was a prototype of the three hundred bus stops and lay-bys that would be constructed across the State under the Bus Reforms Initiative (BRI).

He disclosed that the BRI is a project of the present administration designed to bequeath world class transportation system to the State.

“Facilities at the Alapere Bus Stop include a comfortable Bus Shelter, Lay-by, Lighting, Walkways, Guard-rails and Wire-mesh Fencing for pedestrian protection, passenger information system, amongst others”, he added.
