The Nigerian Senate on Thursday, March 23, approved the nomination of 45 non-career ambassadors forwarded to them by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Upper Legislative Chambers however rejected the nomination of two non-career ambassadorial nominees.

Those rejected by the Red Chambers are Justice Sylvanus Nsofor from Imo State and Mr Jacob Daodu from Ondo State.

Justice Sylvanus Nsofor from Imo state was rejected because he is too old, looks frail and tired, while Jacob Igbekele Daodu from Ondo State was rejected because there is an adverse report on his suitability for appointment as Ambassador.

Meanwhile, those confirmed by Upper Legislative Chambers  on Thursday were:
