The United Kingdom Government on Friday, March 31, deported twenty three (23) Nigerians for various immigration offences.
The deportees arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria at about 6 am in a chartered aircraft.
The spokesman for the Nigeria Police Force, Lagos Airport Command, Joseph Alabi, confirmed the development.
The all male deportees were received by officers of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Police and officials of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the immigration authorities profiled the deportees before they were allowed to leave for their respective destinations.
