The abductors of ace musician, Ambassador Osayomore Joseph, have contacted his family, demanding for an “outrageous amount” for his freedom.
ALEDEH recalls that the veteran musician was kidnapped in his house at Orovie village of Upper Ekenhuan road, Benin City, the Edo State capital, Southern Nigeria, late Tuesday night, October 3, 2017.
The abductor’s of the Edo state born ace musician also left his wife with gunshot injury on her head as she was trying to dissuade the gunmen to leave her husband.
However, six (6) days after Ambassador Joseph was kidnapped, his abductors have contacted his family demanding for N200 million as ransom.
In a related development, the abductors of the Executive Director of the Ogba Zoo in Benin, Dr. Andy Ehanire, have also contacted his family demanding for N350 million as ransom.
Dr. Ehanire was kidnapped on September 24, while Ambassador Joseph was whisked away October 3 after he performed at the palace of the Oba of Benin.
The abductors of Dr. Ehanire also killed the three (3) policemen stationed at his Ogba Zoo and Nature Park during the operation.
Meanwhile, the Edo State Police spokesman, Moses Nkombe, says the Police is doing all it could to ensure both Dr. Ehanire and Ambassador Joseph are freed unhurt for them to rejoin their families.
